Basic guide for Tivo -> DVD needed

I've been browsing through these forums for a few days now and have only managed to get myself really confused. I have a Sony SVR-2000, turbonet and extra drive space. I'd like to figure out how to get shows off the Tivo and onto my computer so I can burn it to a DVD.

I have both PC's and an iMac with a superdrive where I'll end up burning the DVD. So far I can get shows off the Tivo with Tytool5 to either a TY stream file or separate m2v/m2a files. Once there I'm not understanding what to do with the files. My attempts so far have yielded files that have no audio or no video or only the first have of the show.

I think what I'd like to find is some sort of how-to that steps me through the process but I haven't found one yet.

I assume you have used IFOEDIT, if not I think what was posted will get you thru.

Once IFOEDIT creates the VOB files, I use Nero to burn the DVD's, has worked perfectly every time.

There have been numerous posts with detailed instructions for burning DVDs from a Tivo. There's also a How To DVD tutorial in the How Tos Only sticky thread in the DirecTV Tivo Hacking forum, although it's a bit dated, but most of the instructions are still applicable.

I have no experience with DTivo's however. Is there anything in those how-to's that I would need to do differently or omit when trying this from a standalone?
