I sit here with a Sony T60 before me. Drives are totally disconnected.
1)When power is applied the screen flashes and the power supply clicks.
2) With the power supply ribbon cable disconnected from the main board, power is applied the power supply clicks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So looking at the disconnected ribbon cable from the top. Voltage readings were taken between each terminal and the ground screw of the power supply :

RIGHT
----------------------
10 =
9=
8=
T 7=
O 6=
P 5=
4=
3=
2=

----------------------
LEFT

Voltage Reading (( * = Voltage rapidly fluctuates)
1- 0 vdc (ground)
2- 7 to 16 vdc*
3- 2 to 15 vdc*
4- 0 vdc (ground)
5- 4 vdc
6- 4 to 8 vdc*
7- 0 vdc (ground)
8- 3 vdc
9- 3 vdc
10- 0 vdc (ground)

I did find out today that these power supplies cost $150.00 and are back ordered.

Heres the web site: http://www.autec.com/
If I can find a schematic diagram or if someone know what these reading should be I believe this power supply can be repaired.

I posted a thread a few days ago about Tivo troubleshooting. Here's a link to the thread:

Check out the link to digitalrecordertv.com. They'll repair your power supply for $99.00 and provide a decent warranty to boot.

BTW, any measurements you take with the cables disconnected are pretty much meaningless. The Tivo uses a switching power supply and any measurements MUST be taken while under load (i.e. connected and turned on). The outputs change when a load is present.
