I'm confused.

I have a SAT T-60 with xtreme -- with turbonet and kraven's upgrade.

I NEVER connected a telephone line since the upgrade and turbonet install. (About 2-3 months ago)

I for the first time a couple of weeks ago ordered a PPV movie, then another the other day ...

I went online expecting to see my activity since last statement, to be surprized by no mention of my PPV charges. Is that ONLY transfered via modem? My daily call is current. I assumed that that took place via ethernet. Do I have to hook up my telephone line to transfer my charges/viewing purchase history?

I thought DirecTV would disconnect service if it didn't see a call/connection for more than a month? (on the standard reciever accounts) If I neve connect via phone will I NEVER be charged? or if I finally connect the telphone line will they all be sent at once?

???

Yes, the phone line is used to report your purchases to DTV. They are stored on the card until then. You will be able to buy ~25 shows before the card is full and then it will HAVE to call home before it will allow more. The Ethernet connection only handles the Tivo side of the software.

wow.. thanks so I guess they don't care if I connect then? I can go on forever as long as I don't watch any PPV events?

I was hoping never to connect my phone in hopes of preventing an upgrade... I'm still at 2.5.1 -- everything is perfect on my system, I hate to have it get MUCKED up via DTV forced upgrade.

You will get a message, "call ext something-something" once your card is full. You will then have to connect the phone line and let it do its thing, you may even have to actually call dtv to have the receiver call them and upload all your purchases.....man I'd hate to have that bill all at once.

You can also order PPV events on-line via the DTV website. That way yu never need to have the phone line connected to your DTivo and you will get billed for your PPVs once a month instead of all at once.
