currently have the "dtv" sony sat60 running xtreme 2.5 and unit is "touched" w/lifetime service....moved up to a "hi-def" tv and now need a standalone tivo...can the new units currently for sale @ best buy have the same hacks (increased record time w/a 120 gig h/d, and lifetime service "touched") as I currently have on my sony sat60? From what I've read in the past, I guess these are "series 2" tivos. I know to get the proper version of "xtreme 2.5" to apply, as the software is different then what the sony unit takes. Any help/tips is greatly appreciated!!

25xtreme and t60xtreme work on the following units ONLY:
sony sat-t60
philips dsr6000
hughes gxeb0t (or whatever the proper number is)
will not work on the following:
any stand alone tivo (series 1 or 2)
hughes HDVR2 (or any series 2 dtivo)

mr blk, thanx for the reply...well if anyones interested, i've found out that you can not run a tivo, dtv tivo or standalone, and still receive broadcasts in " high definition". Not only that, you cant record on any tivo a "high def" program...had to keep my sat60 hooked up and into "input3" of high def. tv, and run the new sony dtv high def.receiver into "input 1" of tv. no tivo's have the proper connection (component) jacks to run a high def. signal thru. just figured id share the wealth w/ you guys. this group is fantastic, and thanx everyone for all the help! mr. black..."resevoirs dogs"...guess youve seen the flick...haha!
