I'm about to embark on my first DTivo upgrade (SAT-T60). Here's the plan.

1) Install 2 new 120GB hard drives and a turbonet ethernet adapter.

2) Image the drives using 2.5Xtreme.

My question is, do I need the serial cable, or can I get the turbonet card working without one. Does 2.5Xtreme include the turbonet drivers? Can I install the TurboNet drivers while the hard drive(s) are still in my pc?

Thanks for the help :D

The serial cable is rediculously easy to build, three wires and a db9 and 1/8" stereo plug. Anyone that hacks their dtivo (turbonet or no turbonet) should have one.

You could most things with the hard drives in your pc, but the serial cable makes it so much easier.

I'll pm you some info or just do a google search with words darkwing and dtivo.
