Well after much testing (thanks grytpype!!), here is .98 of mfsstream web module.. if v.97 is working for you right now, you won't find any new functionality, but here are the changes:

- Now works with both 2.x and 3.x tivos (Directivo and SA)!

- Fixed a timezone bug when dealing with GMT 0

- Added error checking when opening .cfg file

- Changed file read routine so it should work on all tivos..

Thanks to whoever fixed it for 3.0 tivos (please PM me so i can give you proper credit for the initial hack) and also to jdiner for his version detection algorithm that i ripped out so blatantly.. :)

To upgrade, you only need to replace the mfsstream.itcl and mfsstream.cfg in your modules directory..

Lemme know if it doesn't work for you! Or just tell me it works 100%! hehe

I got v.98 to work on my SA Phillips. Video extraction was the last mod I was hopig to get working on my unit. After several attempts at other methods none of which I was able to get working, I was able to get this one going in no time.

I cannot edit the show title when using MFSSTREAMS. I get the folowing error:

INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

Maybe I am missing something but I have installed mfsStream and it seems to work fine. I can download the ty files to my PC. From there nothing seems to work. I've tried tydemux and I get divide by zero errors, I tried vsplit and I get empty output files. Tried TyTools in process mode and got the same thing. I have a D-tivo ver 3.1.0-01-1-011 ... Am I missing something??

OK I am stupid. But:

When I click on a file it saves it as 0 bytes....

And when I try to rename anything, I get:

I loaded mfstream V.98 and for me it works much better than previous versions with one major exception: It stops downloading at 3.99GB.

The download begins normally but once the download reaches 3.99 GB it just stops. The download window stays open but there is no network activity. If I stop the download the partial .ty file is deleted because the download was not completed.

I have tried to download several streams and get the same results.

Any ideas?

hmm, not sure about the 0 byte problem.. well, sounds like your tyhttpd isn't working correctly.. and you didn't get v.98b did you??? :)

Yes mfsstream worked in a previous version, but not in the version before V.98.

Yes, I am saving to an NTFS drive, but I am the administrator and have correct permissions.

hmm, now this is weird. I haven't touched tyhttpd since the first couple versions.. has anyone else tried getting a >4gb .ty?

i'll record something large today and try it myself.

That would be great. The recording was Apocalypse Now-Regux, the Directors cut. I can't recall how long it is time wise, but it is 5+GB. Also tried a couple other movies, about 2.5 hours long and 4+GB. Same problems.

Short shows, like .5 hours seem to come off OK.

it's pretty damn long. I saw it in the theater and my ass fell asleep many times. :) but there was no way i was leaving. what a great film. :) although I'm not sure it needed all the new scenes..

but i digress.. anyway, i'm going to try to record something soon.

Might want to make your own official version of it, possibly switchable between mfs_stream and the tar format or something while the transition between the two formats is underway. Tydemux will support the tar format in the next release :)

regarding the 3.99 gig limit

i have tried and tried to get past this, to no avail

it locks up at 3.99 gigs and wont let me download past this point

any help would be greatly appreciated

Glad I am not the only one. I thought for a while I was doing something wrong, but I have tried on 3 different PCs, reinstalled tivoweb, mfsstream, etc.

Right now I am using Tytool5 and it works, but it is a pain to have to open hyperterminal everytime.

and im using xp with sp1

here is whats happening - i start it up, it being tytool5, then i hit refresh
it connnects then the program exits on its own and disappears


is that a trip or what?

any ideas, any special settings i should try
i get errors from the nowshowing.tcl for certain lines in the code

I just installed tivoweb 194, mfsstream .98b and tyhttpd (from this thread) on a DSR6000 DTiVo.

On mfsstream module, I see my now playing list, but when I click on a movie title to download, I get a 0 byte ty file.

Most likely the problem is this:
From the readme istallation instructions:
4) edit modules/mfsstream.cfg and change 'path' to the path that contains mfs_stream.

So, for example, if you installed the mfs_stream file in /tivoweb-tcl, edit mfsstream.cfg and change
path::/var/hack/tivoweb-tcl
to
path::/tivoweb-tcl

Also make sure you started the httpd server. To verify, do a
ps x
command and you should see something like this in the list:
115 ? S 0:00 /tivo-bin/tyhttpd 2000 4
119 ? SW 0:00 /tivo-bin/tyhttpd 2000 4

thanks sz, for the really fast reply... I had just figured this out and changed the cfg file to point to devbin... everythings seems to be working fine now so the tyhttpd server must be running as well.

Couldn't check if it was, don't have ps installed. Where can I find that? It's annoying not being able to check running processes...

Hi all,

Finally catching up after cleaning down the Tivo...

My Tivo /var/hack was killed at some point, so I did a complete Delete all and went back thru guided setup..

I have installed so far....

joe to /var/hack
tivo-bin to /var/hack/bin
tivoweb-tcl 1.9.4 to var/hack/tivo-web

Just installed mfs_stream98b

put the mfs_stream and tyhttpd files in /var/hack
chmod 755 on both

copied the modules into /var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/modules

edited .cfg file to point at /var/hack for path

added line to rc.sysinit as in instructions.. /var/hack as path

Restarted.

Tivoweb web page has entry for mfsstream

on hitting that link I get...(My Tivo has just one recording in it at the moment)

Now, I remember having a problem with nowshowing.tcl a while ago, as did one other guy.

Best as I could figure the tz value wasn't set or was null or something, which caused tz*60*60 to be invalid in some way.

I think Jdiner said he was gonna take a look, or had actually fixed it for a tytool that was to come (Its a long time since I've played with the tivo, so this may already have happened)

I posted a fix there, but I don't want to fish around if its just a fix someones already made that has missed being rolled in or something...

If it is still outstanding, and needs any testing, I'm all over the Tivo for the next few days.

My Tivo is a UK Thompson 2.5.5.

As I've said before, I don't know tcl, but from when I looked at this before, this code is slightly different I believe..

if { $tz == "" } { set tz 0} line is new...

I think it might be in the wrong place though?

If its to pickup the failure of the first part of the if clause to set correctly, its not actually getting executed, as its sitting under the else clause..

IF thats what its there for..

so taking that guess..

moving down so its outside of the if clause....

mfs stream is now working...

is there anything I can add in the code to give people who understand tcl a hand in fixing this? dumping values to screen?

when I tested Jdiner's nowshowing.tcl before, I played around with put to show the tz value. It came up 'blank'. does that not mean that msftz is 'blank'? Should that be possible?

I haven't been able to download >2Gb files at all - any clues to why ?

In windows the files xfer, but then IE fails when its trying to rename the file (and deletes it).

In linux mozilla, netscape, opera all have trouble - opera downloads but crashes when download
is complete.

Mozilla/netscape refuse to download since size is 0 - if I change the reported size to -1 it downloads but then mozilla never finishes the download (and file is smaller than the streamweb module reports it should be).

What am I doing wrong ?

glider, what file system? from what i understand, only ntfs can do greater than 2gb files in windows.

also allow a 4 Gigabyte file maximum.

The NT partitions are NTFS formatted, and shared to the Win98SE machine.

Ahh - I use fat32 on win98se box, but I was really trying to save/move file to my smb mounted ext3 linux drive - so it could either be local filesystem or the smb. I'll check.
TyTool6r1 works fine though...

However, that still doesn't explain why browsers in linux refuse to download >2Gb files - anyone had any success with that ?

I remember using the old mfsstreamweb(haven't tried it with 98b yet) any web browser could only download 2gigs from it because it was sending out some weird field values. So I agree with rc3105 on this.

But I started using TyTools under wine instead and it works great.

Installed MFSStream web98 last night. Already had Tivoweb on there. disabled scrambling.
I am able to use this and can download the .ty file for a show.

But, when I use vsplit12.exe to split it to a m2v and m2a, the video stream is short....missing the last portion of the video. If I watch the show, it is all there.

Any suggestions?

My bad. I wasn't actually getting the complete ty file. Followed a suggestion to put both tuners on unused channels, and that seems to have done the trick

I am a newbie at this mfsstream and unix and was wondering if someone could help me out to get my tyhttpd to startup automatically. Precisely what do I type at the bash prompt? I can manually start tyhttpd and download ty files now already but it is inconvenient to start it at the bash prompt every time.

Having problems with the mfsstream v98 module

I have put the tyhttpd in /var/hack/tivoweb-tcl and the modules in the modules folder under there.

did a chmod 777 to both the itcl and the tyhttpd and when i click on the file to download i'm getting the same zero byte file as the rest of the gang.

I checked the mfsstream.cfg file and it points to /var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/modules

please help.

so there is no way to go > then 2 GB on osx? I don't suppose there is a way to split teh ty file on the tivo then is there.. so os x people are just uhmm, SCREWED :) oh yah it also stopped at 4 gb on my windows box. Is this problem tool specific or is it os specific?

Well, I'm a little frustrated. I've been trying to download my first unscrambled .ty file using mfsstream and it keeps rebooting my TiVo, when the download is at 99%.

My system is 25xtreme, with the 252upgrade, and xPlusz. I did modify the mfsstream.cfg file, to put in the proper path (/tivo-bin).

I also tried using Ty Studio, and that reboots my TiVo at various (seemingly random) spots during the download.

I was able to download the m2v and m2a files, using an older version of tytool. I'm going to try mfs_ftp next.

Has anyone experienced something similar, and been able to solve the problem? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Edit (3 1/2 hours later): I tried using mfs_ftp.tcl as well, and it also caused my TiVo to reboot at the last second of the download. Any ideas of why this might be happening, or what info I could provide to help determine the cause would be most helpful.

I've checked the path in the .cfg file, chmod 755 (per instructions) the files---

my only question is if it matters where in the rc.sysinit file you insert the line with the path?

I had this a few months ago...

Basically I had added TiVo web into my favourites as http://username:password@my.tivo.home:1234 and was then going to the mfs_stream page from that link. The page would show but I would click and download a 0kb file. I fixed this by adding mfs_stream as a separate favourite not including the username and pass:

http://my.tivo.home:1234/mfsstream/

This prompts me to enter user and pass and then files download fine :)

Tried getting to mfsstream a number of different ways. Still get 0 bytes

I've tried all sorts of path variations in the mfs path, yet I still get an error where it appears I'm pointing to the wrong location when attempting to download a file.

Can someone take a quick look at this URL vs. the intended path where I have mfs_stream installed?

The *full* path for MFS Stream is:
/var/hack/mfsstream/mfs_stream

I've tried several "path" lines to get there, the most recent being the full path as shown above (including the filename, although I've tried it without the filename as well).

In other words:
path::/var/hack/mfsstream/mfs_stream

The URL being generated becomes:
.../41943040/.2F.var.2F.hack.2F.mfsstream.2F.mfs_stream%20-s%201142303%20/The%20X-Files.ty

Whether it's that URL, or the one without the "mfs_stream" filename, neither URL works when clicking the link to download.

Could someone possibly post the URL that is produced with their install (just a copy/paste) and the associated path?

Superzap - I've had 2.5.2 and XplusZ up and running for a few months. With Tivo Web running I was unable to edit titles and download streams so I tried to upgrade to mfsstreamweb98b and that solved the Title editing problem but i still can't download ty steams as they show as a 0kb file. I tried editing the mfsstream.cfg file in Notepad (not sure this is the right program for that - please advise) to reflect path::/tivoweb-tcl and then I save the edited notepad file as mfsstream.cfg and here is my problem. When I goto open it up to see if the line is edited it still says path::/var/hack/tivoweb-tcl

So what am I doing wrong Read Only is set to "Not Active" - My guess is Notepad is wrong program for editing - if so what is better. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Notepad and Wordpad are not recommended for editing Linux files. If you do decide to use either one then you need to run the file through the DOS2UNIX utility to get rid of the extraneous formatting characters that Notepad leaves behind. Otherwise, the file is in a format unrecognizeable to Linux. The recommended editor for Linux files is TextPad. It allows you to save the file in Unix format and doesn't inject any unwanted characters into the file.

I am also experiencing the same problem with extraction using TivoWeb with mfsstreamwebmodule98. I ran across another thread that claims to have a fix but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Here's the link:

I'm also having a problem getting any files to extract with TyStudio. I can get the NowShowing list and all files are listed as being indexed but when I try to extract one the progress indicator window just sits at 0%.

Believe it or not the file finally worked with the edit done in Notepad. My issue was the read only function of XplusZ was not working right with out a reboot each time the parameter changed. Once complete the MfsStream worked flawlessly in downloading files on Tivo Web and making changes to the title names and information. Make sure you have MFSStream version 94b and you should be good.

Haven't tried TyStudio for downloads as the batch process of Tytool suits my needs.

A reboot was needed whenever it was turned on or off for the change to take place. Even though function #12 would list it as off it wouldn't really be off until the unit was rebooted. Once the reboot took place I was able to FTP in and make changes to the files by uploading the new edited version. Once completed I would turn the Read only function back on and reboot again to make sure it was truly locked on read only.

I am having the same problems as others on this thread.

1. 0 length files from mfsstream
tyhttpd is running.

2. Tystudio gets to downloading the stream and then sits at 0% forever.

3. NowShowing.tcl isn't working, either generates errors or the tserver_mfs6 says that it doesn't exist.

Please help fix one or more of the problems above. This is the last thing that I need to do to the tivo right now, and need help.

I am having a little difficulty installing MfsStream tivoweb module v.98. since it is the "The How-to (very very quick and dirty version)." Is there a version a little drawn out? The problems I am having are,

How do you do step

2) chmod 755 tyhttpd mfs_stream

for this step
4) edit modules/mfsstream.cfg and change 'path' to the path that contains mfs_stream.

I just moved the mfs_stream file to the default path already in the file

/var/hack/tivoweb-tcl

How do you do this

5) add this line to /etc/rc.d/rc.sysint
"/path/to/tyhttpd 2000 4 >> /dev/null &"

where in the file does this line go? I am on a mac running OS X. Can i use the text edit application that comes with mac OS x. What file format does the file need to be in when i transfer it back to my tivo? Is there a way to edit the file directly on my Tivo?

How are you copying the files over to the tivo? If you're using ftp, make sure you use BINARY format. have you tried executing it directly? ie: From the bash shell type:

/var/mfs_stream/tyhttpd 2000 4

and see if it executes, if not, you probably transferred it incorrectly.

I didn't bother to check for binary mode, and it rarely sets itself correctly.

AFAIK, the mfsstream web module v.98 has not been ported to the MIPS architecture. I'm assuming it's a binary and will therefore not work on a S2 Tivo without being recompiled for the MIPS platform. If you want the function to download ty files then I would suggest sticking with either TyTools or mfs_ftp for that purpose. I've used this module on S1 DTivos and never really liked it anywhere near as much as TyTools. The Tivoweb module for extracting videos is somewhat limited and is not as versatile as either of the other two methods.

The basic Tivoweb program is included in Sleeper's tivoscript program and is installed automatically along with the monte hack. This allows you to interface with the Tivo filesystem using a standard web browser but does not include the mfsstream web module for extraction.

I have not been able to download anything with mfs_ftp so far, although I can see the files.

I just got TyTool installed and working last night, I downloaded my first file and Got it De-Muxed in to elementry streams.....

Now the audio is way off after the fires minuite or so...

I've been reading alot today, and I'm going to try and edit with tytool this evening to see how it holds up...

I have a DirecTivo, Philips 6000, Series 1, etc...

Most recent software, 3.1.something...

TivoWebPlus 1.0-rc4

I use the uscramble.o kernel module to unscramble my shows on the fly. This means I have to view the first 2-5 seconds of a show before trying to extract it. This works for me, mostly, but is a pain... Plus, the shows I extract don't always work. I have troubles with TyStudio as well as TyTools for cutting, mux'ing, etc.

Just installed mfsstream module and downloaded a small show. It seems to be scrambled. I thought mfsstream would "stream it" and therefore it would get unscrambled while I download it.

How are others going from S1 DTV (scrambled) to mpeg?

Well after much testing (thanks grytpype!!), here is .98 of mfsstream web module.. if v.97 is working for you right now, you won't find any new functionality, but here are the changes:

- Now works with both 2.x and 3.x tivos (Directivo and SA)!

- Fixed a timezone bug when dealing with GMT 0

- Added error checking when opening .cfg file

- Changed file read routine so it should work on all tivos..

Thanks to whoever fixed it for 3.0 tivos (please PM me so i can give you proper credit for the initial hack) and also to jdiner for his version detection algorithm that i ripped out so blatantly.. :)

Read the "readme" in this file. Did everything the instructions said. Unfortunately I also edited "rc.sysinit" -- as instructed. Now I have absolutely NO access to my tivo via ftp, web or telnet. :mad:

I think perhaps I should have edited the author file?? :confused:

Any idea on how I can get some access without taking the HD out and starting the whole hack process all over again?? :(

But I still get the "Permission Denied"
My TiVo is a UK model "Software System: 2.5.5-01-1-023 "

I did that and did not get any reply. So I rebooted the TiVo and Dis again this time it did not complain and I have got mfsStream added to the TiVoWeb root page.
Now I'm off to work and tonight I will try to extract & Convert a Program.
Is it easy to extract ?

PS Some kind person gave me an Single Drive Image to Upgrade my 2 Drive Tivo. On that image he had allready put you padding TCL and it survived the Backup / Restore procedure.

I'm having the same problem. Can someone post if the URL indicated below is correct, so we know if there is a problem elsewhere? Or is the url being generated incorrectly?

The URL seems a little suspicious, but I don't know what a "right" one looks like.




I've tried all sorts of path variations in the mfs path, yet I still get an error where it appears I'm pointing to the wrong location when attempting to download a file.

Can someone take a quick look at this URL vs. the intended path where I have mfs_stream installed?

The *full* path for MFS Stream is:
/var/hack/mfsstream/mfs_stream

I've tried several "path" lines to get there, the most recent being the full path as shown above (including the filename, although I've tried it without the filename as well).

In other words:
path::/var/hack/mfsstream/mfs_stream

The URL being generated becomes:
.../41943040/.2F.var.2F.hack.2F.mfsstream.2F.mfs_stream%20-s%201142303%20/The%20X-Files.ty

Whether it's that URL, or the one without the "mfs_stream" filename, neither URL works when clicking the link to download.

Could someone possibly post the URL that is produced with their install (just a copy/paste) and the associated path?

I'm currently having the same issue. The only thing I found after a bit o' the google was this:

Q: When I try to start TCS it complains and gives the following error:

invalid attribute: TimeZone

A: TCS can't find the timezone and daylight savings policy information in MFS. This probably means that you are running version 4.0 of the software. If someone tells me where to find that information in MFS on 4.0, I can fix it. I don't have an S2, so until someone does your SOL.



This TCS program isn't quite the same as tivoweb, but it apparently uses the same bit of timezone-finding that is causing tivoweb to puke.

My s/w is Tivo Sofware version: 4.0.1b-01-2-240.

I'm also having some downloads fail - possibly the same issue as the "0 byte" error some of you have decribed. (I'm using Safari as the browser on OS X, so I get a different error condition - "preparing to download" appears in the download list, and never gets anywhere.)

Scoping out the actual URLs, though, shows something odd.

A show that can be downloaded has a URL that begins with:

http://[tivo's ip address]:2000/1011875840/.2F.var.2F.hack.2F.tivoweb-tcl...

The problem files have urls that start with:

http://[tivo's ip address]:2000/0/.2F.var.2F.hack.2F.tivoweb-tcl...

Inserting a large number in place of the 0 makes the download work, but the number seems to affect the length of the downloaded file. For example, using 1011875840 got around the first hour of a three-hour show; 3211875840 got about 2:48 of it. (The show itself is 2894848 kilobytes.)

The resulting files seem to have a lot of timebase errors.

Upon further mathemetizing, I see that the show that used the 1011875840 url downloaded as a 965 MB file. 965 MB x 1024 = 988160 KB; 988160 x 1024 = 1011875840 bytes. This implies that the correct number to insert would be the show's reported length in kilobytes * 1024 - but MFSStream indicates that the show is 1036288 KB, not 988160 KB.

Can anybody provide any clues to figure out what the "real" number should be - or better yet, workaround the problem entirely?

OK, I'm a little slow... I've abandoned MfsStream, now using mfs_ftp, and no more 2GB/4GB file size issues (although I do miss the TiVoWeb ease of use.)

I'm moving the ty files to my PC, cutting commercials and muxing to MPEG2 with tyEditor, then DivX Doctor to avi.

Every ty I've done has had audio sync issues, starting near the last quarter of the movie. Is there a way to avoid/fix this?

I have never had an audio sync problem with tydemux as long as I do my editing on the mpeg not on the ty (i.e. I demux without a cutfile).

MfsStream does not work when you are downloading to a wi-fi connected computer. The download starts, then hangs, then dies, as if the connection is flooded. I plugged the laptop into the ethernet port and then it worked fine. My Tivo is also plugged into my router directly, don't know if that makes a difference.

I recently upgraded to TivoWebPlus v1.0. I reinstalled the MfsStream but now when I go to download a show all I get is a 0kb file. Before I would get a file that was around 1GB. Anyone run across this problem??

Well, perhaps this will be the final nail in the coffin for MfsStream; I don't know: The module breaks TivoWebPlus 1.1-pre2. It still works just fine, but the rest of TWP now errors out if MfsStream is installed. I suppose it would be trivial to fix as falcontx says in the TWP 1.1 thread, but I think I'll try the replacement modules that rc3105 linked to earlier in this thread.
My suggestion would be to try removing the "get_tzoffset" function from the MfsStream module, or possibly renaming it and changing references within the module if it contains some necessary proprietary code. Otherwise, you could contact the author of the module and politely ask them to fix it.

I've been using tyc to convert .ty files downloaded with mfsstream (from a SA1 TiVo) to MPEG files, and watching in QuickTime. Recently, tyc segfaults around 506mb. Some reading tonight has me wondering if this is the point at which two ty files are concatenated, and a repeated header is crashing tyc. Can anyone confirm this theory, and tell me if there's a way to make mfsstream skip extra headers/trailers?

I use tydemux and mplex on Mac OS X. Tydemux has no max filesize issues and provides audio sync data for use with mplex. All that's missing is a de-interlace feature. Also use MPEG Streamclip for edits.

My apologies if this is a stupid question - but I've read throught this thread pretty carefully and - I think - followed the instructions on installing mfs_stream to the letter.

The problem I have is that the mfs_stream module (0.98b) is not showing up in TiVoWeb (1.94). I have done the following

copied mfs_stream and tyhttpd to /var/hack/mfs_stream
chmod +x /var/hack/mfs_stream/tyhttpd
chmod +x /var/hack/mfs_stream/mfs_stream
copied all files in modules/ to /var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/modules
edited /var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/modules/mfsstream.cfg so that it reads
path::/var/hack/mfs_stream
edited /etc/rc.d/rc.sysint.author to add the line
/var/hack/mfs_stream/tyhttpd 2000 4 >> /dev/null &
started tyhttpd by hand by doing /var/hack/mfs_stream/tyhttpd 2000 4 >> /dev/null &
checked using ps aux | grep tyhttpd is running (four of them)
full reload of TiVoWeb (not a TiVo re-boot)

and I can't see the mfs_stream module in TiVoWeb

am I doing something stupid?

replying to myself - bit sad :)

the answer is two-fold

1. You DO need to re-boot TiVo to get mfs_stream to show up in TiVoWeb (just re-starting TiVoWeb is not enough)

2. If you're in the UK then you need to fiddle about in the mfs_stream.itcl to set tz 0

then all is good :)

I can see the shows listed in the MFSstream section of Tivo web (running on my SAT-60 S1 DirecTiVo). Must have done a few things correctly! I get this when clicking on any of the show links in my browser:

can’t open the page “http://192.168.1.45:2000/914358272/.2F.var.2F.hack%20-s%203613979%203613982%20/24.ty” because it could not connect to the server “192.168.1.45”.

Other than this error I can move about in Tivoweb flawlessly.

Any Thoughts?

Does mfsstream work through an Apache proxy? I read in earlier threads that it did not, but the readme for .98 suggests that it does. The reason I ask is that I would like to be able to download programs from an external network. Currently I can connect to Tivoweb from an external network using my Apache server running a proxy to my DTivo. With MFSStream installed, I can browse the MFS titles, but can't actually download them. The browser goes through all the motions (asks me where I want to save the files etc...), but the download never starts. Sometimes I get the first ~100KB. I can, however, connect to the Tivo from my internal network (that is, not going through Apache), and download the programs as expected. Any thoughts? Below is the Apache proxy configuration for my Tivo...

and it works fine, but then how do i get back to the bash, but leave the program running?

2. I wanted to add tyhttpd to my sysinit file. I already have tivoweb and tivoftpd in there, so i wasn't sure if the order matters or where the code for tyhttpd fits. Will this work?

I cannot add or transfer files from my pc to my tivo. I have flash fxp and I do have it set to Binary transfer. I so see the file scome up under my tivo, but I'm not able to edit, or change the folders. How would I get Flash FXP (my ftp client) to copy over files to my tivo? I'm new to hacking tivo but have been loading a bunch of stuff. With some tinkering, getting much success.
I have installed mfsstream 98b and can use it through tivo web tcl 1.9.4.
It works well, can see the list of my recordings, download them fine, change desc, etc.
However, there is a delete button to delete the recording. When I press that, another browser window pops up with the web tcl page and the recording never deletes.
What am I doing wrong that the delete function doesn't work?
