I have Xtremed both of my DSR6000. one has the standard 40 gig drive and the other has a 80 gig drive.
In the System information, both show "Variable, up to 24 hours" under Recording Capacity.
Can someone help and explain what I have done incorrectly??
When I extremed the drive , while retoring it errors at 93%. It never asked for drive expansion.

You forgot to answer yes to expanded the drive when you ran Xtreme. If you don't have any shows/settings you wish to save, re-Xtreme and answer yes to expand. It's a bit more involved to do it after the fact.

Xtreme errors at 93%. I did not get an option to expand drive. Do I have a bad xtreme CD?

Seems to be a common problem, lots of discussions about the causes. Some people claim if it gets nearly done they are able to put it in their Tivo and it works. Sounds like that might be the case for you. If your sytem's are working as they should, just don't show the full size, put the Tivo drive back on your PC, boot the Xtreme CD, but don't run Xtreme. Instead, locate the tivomadb4 directory and run tivomadd. (sorry, I don't have the CD handy, so I don't have the exact path or file name.) It should ask you which device, if you have more than one drive, and if the total space is over 140MB. Then it will expand to use the entire drive space. Test it on one before doing them both.
