Easy question. I have a standard 2.5.2 install (not Extremed). I have copied over all the utilites for /var/hack (joe, ls, etc). Where do I define the PATH variable to actually look in this directory? Is there a .bashrc file somewhere?

Also, as a side note, can vi or vim be used instead of joe? If so, where can I get it.

Thanks,
Gill

Ok...well I ran Kraven's update, and that took care of vi and the PATH variable. I am still curious though, where the PATH variable gets set.

Thanks,

Around the middle of /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit
search for the word path (ctrl-k f)
