I have a T-60 with two 80gb WD hard drives and Extreme 2.5 installed, no other hacks are installed.
It has worked great for about 4 or 5 months now, but last night I went in to my To Do list and noticed that some programs were not being recorded.
I then went in to the season pass manager and one thing I have in there is Seinfeld and to record first run and repeats and after looking at the upcoming list of Seinfeld programs, I noticed it is only recording the ones that I have not seen and recorded before, even though I delete them right after I watch them.
I assume the Tivo keeps a list of the programs you have already recorded and this is what the problem is. But as I mentioned all of the old recordings are deleted.
Is there something in Extreme 2.5 that could be causing this, or is this a Tivo bug, or some other problem?

funny you mention this, i thought my machine was goofy.
I have a season pass set for saturday night live, it worked great for months, then stopped recording it, i deleted it and set it up again and same thing, it doesnt record the show.
I sure would like to hear of a way to fix this.
Other season passes work fine it seems.
thanks

Have you added any other hacks to yours? I am just wondering if it is something else we have done, or if it is a Tivo bug?
Are you using v2.5.1, 2.5.2 or 3.1?

I suspect I have the answer to your question:
You may be temporarily losing your locals because of <ahem... ahem> an issue involving your fuse byte on your card.
If you get the network channels on the 380's, try setting your SP on those instead of your locally mapped channels between 1-100.
i.e.- if your SP for "Saturday Night Live" is set to record SNL on Channel 8 on Saturday nights, try setting up a SP to record it on NBC channel 382 instead.

well, i doubt that is the issue, since i was watching the local channel when it was supposed to be recording it.
i happened to notice it wasnt recording like it was supposed to be.

If you look in the Now Playing list at the top is a link for Recording History. Every show you've ever recorded is logged and will be listed there. You can delete the recording history using EditTitle3. You can also use it to undelete any programs you inadvertently deleted, as long as the physical space on the hard drive has not been overwritten by other recordings. You can download it from this link:

Sorry, had a brain fart when I poste. The recording history list is at the top of the To Do list.

The tivo owners manul tells you that a show that has been recorded and watched and deleted will not be recorded again for like 28 days or something. Could that be what you are running into?
If this is indeed it, deleting the recording history will fix it. Just as CV described.

This is a feature, not a bug.

Since it does appear as though this 'feature' is the problem, is there a way with a hack or a kernel patch that I can turn the recording history off, or at the least erase it every night or once a week?

Use the EditTitle3.tcl script I provided in my earlier post. It won't run on a scheduled basis but it doesn't take all that long to delete the history either.

Thanks for the info!!
I took out the code I needed and made a new script and have it running along with noppv during the daily call.
Works great!
Thanks again...

Last month my DTivo stopped recording all shows. I wasnt paying attention to the ToDo list. I went through and re-saved all Season Pass listings, and everything was fine
Its started again. I noticed a show wasnt going to be recorded. The Season Pass said "The episode will not be recorded." So i went to the ToDo list, It was not here. I went to the Recode History, it wasnt listed there either.
Wierd!

______EDIT:
As an update to my post, i erased the Recoded History and everything seems to be comming back.
Any one have any ideas why this happends?
Is this fix a one shot deal, or am i going to have to do this weekly/monthly/daily.
