Image questions for SA TiVo

I am looking for a hack or image that allows a SA TiVo to act like a VCR. I do not need any guides, just get rid of the nag screens if it has no sub or is not plugged into the phone. It will be used for manual recordings. Also, looking for something to just record the images from a security camera.

Is there anything out there that might help?
