And a further note on The HDVR2

If you have not found out already
the P4's are not hackable yet. And the new version looks for a p4 card so you can not use the p3. Sad day.

I just got one 2 weeks ago. While it is nice it would be nicer if i could "personalize" it a little

Long time dss surfer. and Phillips s1 tivo unit (life time of course).

um, not really. you can personalize it all you want.

messing with the s2 is what this forum is all about. no, nobody has publically released how to remove the camid check from the s2, but it does work. I have dropped a hint or two about it, so anyone worth their salt should be able to figure it out.

NOTE: sorry, I can't release more info than the hints that i have dropped, as i am not authorized to do so by the author. please don't PM me about disabling the check either. thanks

my unit shipped with the evil new version. So no bashing.
I have not put in a finger numbing search for the older image yet. Just started with the regulars. If you could save me some time. I would be very appreciative. No worries though.
