I am attempting to install Xtreme 2.5 on a Hughes Dtivo with stock drive and I am getting an error during the install.

I have hooked tivo drive to pc and boot from xtreme25 cd. I get to the boot prompt and press enter it mounts then I hit enter at login and get #. I run 25xtreme and get to select drive and select hdd I get y/n diag select y then it bregins decompressing. It goes for about 5 minutes then I get to 99% then recieve the following error.

uncompress backup size : 1365 megabytes
Restore failed: Decompression error..99%)(1325 . 91% compression)
Cannot continue processing aborted

I have also attempted to install the 2.5.2 and 3.1 and get message that I am running unsupported 2.0 version and stops. What can I do to get this install I am just trying to get to version 2.5.2

Try re-burning the iso.

If still no-go, go to another site and download the iso image and try again.

Wasn't this posted before that the decompression error is okay if it happens? Then to just run the TivoMad program manually right after the error? Or has it been found that the decompression error really doesn't finish putting necessary files on the drive?

Yes, here was the thread:

I downloaded an alternate ISO from framethrower (may be down now?) and it fixed the issue.

I went ahead and reinstalled the drive back into the dtivo and was able to get it to boot up and install. Then I ran the 252upgrade and had no problems all is well now. I did download the files from pitoudistro and the downloads were broken then resumed so that must be the reason for the error.

The only problem I now have is that my locals are not showing up in either the 100s or 900s. The card does get the locals because I can try on other dtv boxes and recieve the locals. Do I need to run addlocs or mvchannels, to get them to work? Also what would is the xpluz command for that? Thanks for all the help everyone in this forum is awesome.
