What is the correct way to set tserver_mfs to autostart with my tivo?

What is the correct way to execute tserver_mfs from the bash prompt and have it run in the background without bugging the terminal?

tserver_mfs6 &?

When you run it do a ps -aux, you will see it comsumes quite a lot of resources so I wouldn't recommend running it all the time. As for running in the background.. trying putting an "&" on the end of the command.

It really is very easy. Put all of the files (tserver_mfs and the NowShowing.tcl) in the /var/tmp directory you can then launch it from the rcsysinit. You see, the /var/tmp directory is the startup directory and it works nicely:D

actually only the NowShowing.tcl has to be in /var/tmp thanks for helping to answer a question i had just asked in another thread.
