Hi,
My first post! I've been lurking and reading (and reading, and reading) for days now.
These forums Rock, by the way.
So here is my newb question, which is probably appropriate for a first post. :)
Just got the T60. (yay!)
Pulled the old drive, put the 120G in with 25Xtreme - and it only took a little bit of fighting:
See, the unit that I got has been sitting in a warehouse for a while. The date stamp on the inside says Apr 30, 2001.
When I originally booted 25Xtreme, it did the normal dance of booting, reboot... but I got a "cant boot kernel" message.
One piece of advice on the board said to reflash the prom using the turbonet boot CD. Which I did. And then I was able to boot completely. (yay!)
But, I'm wondering - did the "speedboot" prom image get lost with that 2nd flashing?
If so, do you think the prom image was overwritten?
If I need that prom image, can someone shoot me a link?
And, the steps to flash the prom would be helpful as well.
