I have a Sony T60 with a second drive that I purchased from another individual. it has been hacked, but don't know exactly what has been done to it. Is there any way I can tell if Xtreme was put on this? Turbonet is installed, but can't get it to work. Tivoweb is installed, but haven't been able to get it to work as well... I did see the SubTest folder in there.. can someone shed some light on my situation? I don't want to make changes that are going to be irrelevant, etc.
thanks

If you don't have access to the previous owner for the info you're asking, it's probably best to re-install v25xtreme and then xupgrade to get your turbonet working.

I've looked around for this answer, but can't find it..
Is there a way to do the fully install of Xtreme from bash, rather than pulling out the drive and imaging it? I already have bash access and if i can copy what I need over and run it from bash, it would be so much easier..
Any thoughts as well as where to get those proper files?
thanks

You can only do upgrades from bash (see the xupgrade thread at the top of the forum). v25xtreme requires you to put HD in PC.

If I just do the 2.5.2 or the 3.1 upgrade, will it replace/overwrite existing Xtreme files ? meaning if 25Xtreme has been installed already and I do the upgrade, could that possibly fix the issue? I'd like to stay away from removing HDs if I can for now.

The upgrade might work, but you must have a flashed prom (as is done by xtreme) and you must have bash.

is there a way to tell if PROM has been flashed ?
I do have bash already and I'm guessing it'll bomb out if the prom hasnt' been updated.

To determine if you have the hacked prom installed enter this command:
getprom -checksum
You should get this:
Good checksum - 0x00C08BE7

How can i tell how the HDs are configured on my machine.. i.e primary master/slave, secondary master/slave..
there are two hard drives installed.. any way to tell from bash how these are configured so i don't screw up the 2.5 image if the upgrade doesn't work ?
