Is it me, or does mfs_ftp give you a better "quality" ty file?? I've downloaded files two ways, via mfs_ftp and tytools (also used tytools to make my mpg before ty studio came to be). Then I use ty studio to do my editing. Is it possible that mfs_ftp (and tytools) are giving me a better quality ty thus a better quality end product??? Are the end products from tytools and tystudio the same?

In theroy all of the MFS extracting tools out there were built upon the same basic engine. I believe most of the differences are what gets done with the data after its extracted from MFS but before it gets saved to your hard disk.

They should all give you the same file as an end result.

A ty file is a ty file, no matter what method you use for extraction. The TyStudio camp claims that TyTool does something funky to the header but it should otherwise be identical to a ty file downloaded using tyserver, mfs_ftp, or mfsstream via tivoweb.
