Closing port

For some reason I can not figure out how to close ports using mfs_ftp. Everytime I want to get another show off the tivo I have to use another port (I must have 20 different ports open!) I've tried to type exit in terra term after I finish getting the file, but the port still remains open. Can anyone please help me close the ports?
