Archiving, in the mean time

Despite the various tools amd techniques posted on this forum, I simply can't burn a DVD without errors (mainly audio sync) and I wait for tools that will work properly with my setup, which I know will happen in time.

Unfortionately, I have a lot of programs on my DTivo that I want to burn to DVD (once I can make it work for me), and I need to clear out some Tivo disk space.

I have read that the various ty extraction tools have some incompatabilities and as result, I am not sure which tool to use for short term ty archiving to PC while awaiting authoring tools that I can use.

Any suggestions?

Try MFS_FTP.TCL, look for the giant sticky thread.

Either grab them as tys (from /ty) if you only care about one way archiving to DVD, or, if you want to just free up space, and be able to return them to the tivo whenever you want to watch them again, grab them as tmfs (from /tmf).
