Is there a way to get movies from a Dish 7200 PVR?

Its not as elegant as Tivo. It involves removing the harddrive every time you want something. The software is for windows and slower then pond scum. And unless someone is hiding a BIG secret, it is not able to be connected to a network.

I think of dishrip to be very fast, maybe is because you install your dishplayer drive into your PC for ripping.

I'm following the guide right now for the first time, using all the tools (besweet, mpeg2vcr) to fix GOPs and cut commercials it sure is much slower than the tools we have for Tivo. But there are other options to work with the files, then again are not at the same level as tyStudio or tytools.

But hey, this doesn't belong here, let's all go to the dishrip forum ;)
