Help requested with Sony t-60

I just switched from tivo SA 1 to Sony Dtivo t60. Bought sony t60 on ebay and it came with P4 card. so the orignal drive had 3.1 software. I had 2 80gb drives from my previous tivo. I used mfstools 2.0 to install SonyT60_252Xtreme.zip from tivostuff.com to the new drives. after that i put the drives into my sony dtivo and let it go through install motions. that was successful. then i took out A drive and put KRavEN-v31-Upgrade.zip from tivostuff.com on to it. Put the drive back into the dtivo and after about 20 minutes of background update process i had version 3.1 on it. I took the drive out and loaded blissterppopper1.1.zip from tivostuff.com on to it. put the drive back into tivo and booted it up. everything seemed to work. however when i selected now showing menu i got an error message saying Hardware error #51 occured. after searching through the forums i found the problem. when i checked system information i noticed that Service number was all zeros. people suggested that i do a delete all option. So i proceeded to clear everything out and i got to the guided setup screen. i got stuck at the screen where its trying to dial up to get a list of service number. now i don't have a landline (since i have cable modem and cell phone) so i'm unable to dial out as well as using the HU card. i went back to tivo central and right now everytime i click on now showing, i get an error message saying "before you can use DVR serivce functions, you need to connect phone line and make a test call". for reasons stated above i can't do that. I checked system information screen and it says that
my account is in good standing and DVR service is Active. At this point i'm not sure where i screwed and hoping that somebody can help me out or point me in the right direction?

also does blisterpopper needs to be run right after you put Kravens 3.1 tivolater on the hard drive or do i have to first put it back in tivo and let it do update then transfer the files and run the script?

It looks like you're stuck because you haven't completed guided setup.

My recommended remedy is to start over and use SonyT60_v25Xtreme (not SonyT60_252Xtreme). Let it boot once and do the v3.1 tivolater and then BlissTerPopper.

1) do u have the link to the image u are talking about?

2) should i let it dial out during the guided setup eventhough i don't have a subscription?

There are 2 there one is for 30GB and the other for 40GB.

It won't hurt to let it call out during guided setup.

thanks for ur help. so if my original was a 40gb drive then i should use the 40gb version?

The 40GB version needs a minimum 40GB drive. If yours is larger don't forget to answer yes to the question about running DTiVomad so you can use all the space on the drive.

does blisterpopper gets installed at the same time that i'm installing kraven's 31 update? or do i first do 31 upgrade, put it back into tivo to let it install software then take it out again and do blisterpopper?

one more thing. why is the 30gb version over 200mb and 40gb is 170mb?

Glad your system is now working.

I am curious. Was this unit running a P4 and then you upgraded and started using an HU?

Did you ever get an error message saying you had an incompatible card? If yes how did you fix that?

version 2.5 and 2.5.2 will take any card. ver 3.1 is P4 only by defualt. there is all sorts of things you can do, but it cant be discussed here. you do realize that last post is 9 months old right? he didnt upgrade, he downgraded first, then upgraded........
