PPV Hack..

I'm not sure what the PPV has does and if I can even run it right now w/o a cable but..

i have a 3m'd HU card, and on some of the PPV channels, i.e. 596, 597 mostly.... they channels dont come through, while the rest of them come in fine...

does the PPV hack fix this?

I'm able to record PPV movies without any problems, havent even dealt with locals yet, but I can't even view them.

does the PPV hack fix this and just let me change to the channels..

the 'ppv hack' simply tells your receiver that the ppv channels are just like other channels, bypassing the 'buy' procedure. this is useful if you pre-order ppvs in advance via the phone or whatnot, and want to record them by just using the remote (but before the standard 24hr window). if your card has been altered to allow every channel, that bypass allows you to record stuff well in advance. if your card wont allow you to watch a given channel, nothing on the tivo will change that. That is the extent of any dtv related stuff that is allowed. if you are having dtv hacking related issues, take them to an appropriate dtv hacking board please.

I'm considering this a hardware related question, becuase I know my cards have PPV channels on them and they come in fine with my GAEBO reciever, I'm just needing to know what mod/hack is needed to get rid of the buy now feature, and you answered my question.

The PPV hack is included in the XplusZ package? is there anywhere to run the command from the hard drive in the pc?

Does anyone have a text file to add the ppv hack without a cable?"
