I just bought a new computer just to do this.
I tried to load xtreme25 but I am having no luck.
It keeps saying operating system not found?

check out the bios, see if its reading the hard drive, make sure there is in fact a os on the hd....

read the instructions very carefully..

how do i check if there is os on the hard drive?

you can go to bootdisk.com and check for a 6.22 disk with dos and fdisk the drive, see if there is anything on the drive and if it has been paritioned..

if it has anything but nt4 you'll be coool.

I am supposed to take out the hard drive of my computer and then replace it with the hard drive of the tivo. So you what me to get 6.22 and run it on the tivo. because if I switch everything back it works fine. so far what i did was gone into bois and changed the setup so it boots off cd first. Let me know what you think thanks

no you dont take the hard drive out, you setup the tivo drive as the primary slave. Did you check and make sure you can boot from the CDROM
