better "now playing" listing

I read something in this forum about a hack that allows you to categorize your recorded programs... organize them so you don't have to scroll through pages to view your recordings from newest to oldest?

Is there such a hack for an Xtreme2.5 DSR6000??

You mean, in the now playing screen, remote control 'SORT'?

You should see the "Press Display for sort options" at the bottom with black background.

I tried putting it on now playing screen then hit the remote buttons in the order you said but nothing happens for me.

He didn't notice you asked about system 2.5. The SORT does not work for 2.5. There is no equivalent that I know of (It's not all that great anyway, very limited).

With Tivoweb you can edit the list in useful ways, that works fine with 2.5

Anywho, you really should check out the sticky thread over at www.tivocommunity.com that has the almost complete list of codes. They tend to play with the remote codes over there more than here.

And yeah, sort is limited... but if you keep a lot of a show, it's nice to switch between date recorded and title sort. I don't use it much, my brother likes title sort all the time for some reason.

I know SORT doesn't work for 2.5, but what about 2.5.2? Or is it only 3.1?
