Is there a list of the differences (changed, added, deleted files) between a standard DTivo with 2.52 and a DTivo with 2.52 Xtreme Upgrade?
Also, anyone know where there is a backup image of a normal 2.52 DTivo, non-Xtreme?
One last thing, is there a kernel patch for noscramble rather than a module that works on 2.52?
I was wondering because I'd like to trim my unit down and do all the additions myself for kick.
Thanks in advance.

I have found the following... if your looking on here most likely they have updates or have been xtreme'd, as you need xrtreme to update your PROM.
The images I have on my PC, which I've downloading about 15 of them and tried them all, I kept the ones that work are as follows.
1. 2.5Surgeon Xtreme CD (normal one with prom updates)
2. 2.5.2 non-hacked 2.5.2 full version, no hacks installed, seemed pretty stable.
3. 2.5.2 Superzap Update to 2.5... I couldnt get this to install correctly, still working on it.
So far I belive all the images have been altered but are stable.
2.5.2 full images are available on various websites.
You can also return the units to "stock" :-) by downloading the backup .mfs file for each unit which are available on one site.

If you mean this site:
ftp://ftp.abs.net/tivo/
I've already looked and didn't see any DTivo 2.5.2 images.
Actually, I haven't seen a Stock non-hacked 2.5.2 image in the couple of places I have checked.
If you happen to have a URL for a stock 2.5.2 image, could you let me know via any means appropriate.
Thanks.

On another note, what happens if you use the uninstall code for xPlusz on the 2.5.2 Xtreme upgraded DTivo?
I know this thread is just full of questions, but I think I'm finally understanding things enough to try and start from stock and do just the mods I want/need. That is of course if I can find a stock 2.5.2 image.

sheesh I want just the oppisite, I want a 2.5.2 image WITH all the hacks and BASH installed, oh the irony..
the superzap 2.5.2 has NO hacks installed, other than whats on 2.5, so it sounds like that is what you want..

DSR6000_252Xtreme.zip superzaps DSR6000 2.52 Xtreme ISO 129987735 1/5/2003 download

AFAIK, that image has hacks on it. As does the later released, and quicker 2.5.2 XUpgrade.zip. Both of those contain all the hacks that were on 2.5. Some in slightly changed forms, but all there, and some extra's of course.
Yes, I guess I am exactly opposite where you are as I do indeed want a clean un-hacked stock 2.5.2 image.
