I have been trying to run 25Xtreme on a new 60GB harddrive. The 30 gig A drive went bad on the tivo, and I just want to replace both drives, with a single A drive.. When I run 25xtreme, it starts to uncompress, and after about 90(or was it 93%?) completion it errors out.. Now, I read somewhere that this is common and shouldn't affect the installation.. After it completes the operation, I hook the harddrive up to the tivo, and the Tivo just says Welcome Powering up....(And it reboots). If someone could please help me out I would appreciate it, it's been driving me crazy..
Thanks..

What type of 60GB drive are you using? Some drives won't work in a tivo.

If you downloaded the file from pitoudistro....then the error is common. You just need to run the madtivo manually.
when you get the decompression error(any one over 90% will let you use the drive in a TiVo), at the prompt you need to run the tivomad program. I think I posted it here somewhere else..Ill look around for the post and get back to you....

or you could download the iso from a better source...tivostuff.com
try this from the # prompt..../maddtvb4/setupcd.sh....then give correct info...should get you there....

I got 25Xtreme to work 100%. What happened, was that the boot sector signature on my Western Digital seemed to have some kind of a mismatch, so I used a utility to restore it back to its original state.. Than the install went flawless.
