Anyone know how to extract more than one show at a time? I would be content to capture them via RCA/Svideo out (Save to VCR) or another method - whatever is simplest. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for:

2nd Generation - Show(s) to be streamed using the save to VCR look at xplusz.

Pure MPEG (no change from original) - Tytool or Tystudio will extract more than one show in a batch mode.

What do you want to do with your shows? Elaborate a bit on your goals, and we can guide you down the path...

You can actually extract multiple shows simultaneously using mfsstream with TivoWeb and the latest 0.98 web module. When you start up Tivoweb, you specify both the port number and number of simultaneous transfers (2000 and 4, respectively). This allows you up to four separate transfers occurring simultaneously. Unfortunately, you don't gain a thing by performing simultaneous transfers because your total bandwidth is limited. If you transfer two files at the same time, the transfer rate for each file is cut in half so the total amount of time to do individual vs. simultaneous transfers will end up being the same.

As stated in the above post, you can extract multiple shows with TyTool or TyStudio in batch mode. In TyTool, you just select the shows you want to extract and select Get. I've never used the batch function in TyStudio so you'll have to check that one out for yourself. You should also be able to extract multiple shows with mfs_ftp since you're using a standard FTP program to accomplish the transfer.
