Can NOT Telnet to TiVO

I installed the TurboNet card in my Sony series 1 TiVO and connected to my intranet. I can ping it and get a reply, and I know it is the TiVO because the pings timeout when I disconnect the cable. I installed the software as outlined on 9th-tee. However, I can NOT http nor ftp to it, using either the explorer, WS-FTP, MicroSoft Telnet command, or FTP explorer.:confused:

You need to install tivoftp to get ftp to work. Have you tried getting bash via serial connection? If you don't have bash you won't be able to telnet either. Unless you have set up bash manually you'll never telnet to the Tivo. Check out section 4 of the Tivo Hacking FAQ for getting bash:
