newbie questions abut t60 upgrade

ok I have sony t60 and I want to upgrade to big hd and put trhe hacks life sub ect.
so any direction were to start or what programs i need to download
i read some post already but i still confuse abut how to do it
first I need to make boot cd w/252xtreme , instal it on the blank drive then what is next?
any help or directions

First off would be to get the 25extreme iso image and make a cd out of that and follow the read me that it came with, it's written very well and doesn't steer you into wall.
