odd problem tivo only recording the last 18 minutes

the title says it all, since yesterday evening, my dsr6000 has been recording the last 18 minutes of the shows I had selected for recording? any ideas what I can do to remedy this?

btw. i'm running 2.5.2 xplusz with nophone on a subbed P4, no other active hacks

I deleted some old shows and restarted tivo. I set it to record an early morning Star Trek Voyager. I just checked out the now playing and tivo recorded their are 2 entries for the voager show. One has the first 32 minutes and the second has the last 22 minutes. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening and what I can do to remedy the situation?

I put in an old 40 gig hd with 25xtreme loaded and it works fine. The only draw back os that it doesn't get my locals which is why I upgraded to 2.5.2 in the first place.

I'm going to run diagnostics on the 2 80 gig hard drives and try dd ing them to other drives to see if it helps.

Perhaps something is causing your DTivo to reboot during the recording, resulting in the two separate recordings. In any case, it sounds like something has interrupted the recording process and the DTivo picks it up again while the show is still in progress.
