View Full Version : Turbonet and Directivo daily call

I have a Direct Tivo SAT-T60. I have Total Choice premiere programming so the Tivo service is included in my monthly bill. If I was to install a turbonet adapter, would I still need to have a phone line hooked up to retain my Tivo features or would it check the validity of my tivo account via the turbonet? I don't wanna use a hack to fool my Tivo into not dialing, I have a legit subscirption I just don't wanna jack into the phone if I don't have to. Pay per view is not an issue for me either as far as the Directv call.

If you have tivo os v3.1.0 with a turbonet and an always-on internet connection you won't need a phone line to make the daily call. Put this string into the dial prefix:
,#401
to let the tivo software know you want to connect through ethernet.
Note that this will not connect to directv for PPV and special sports packages.

What will happen to the PPV and sports packages if using Turbonet for the daily call?
