I have a SAT-T60 DTivo running 25Xtreme software locked at version 2.5, and all my hacks and settings are perfect (touched, blessed-100 GB).
I am installing a TurboNet card, but do not wish to change anything on my drive (except get the ability to use the turbonet).

Can I load the TurboNet drivers through bash instead of removing the HD?

I believe it's certainly possible although I've never done it myself. You might want to condiser installing SuperZap's upgrade to 2.5.2 or 3.1. This can be done via serial connection and will install the Turbonet drivers for you as well as set up tivoftp, mfsstream, and telnet, just to mention a few of the included hacks. Just activate the ones you want and leave the rest turned off
