I sent you the hard drive. I told you where to download extreme for the DSR6000. I've repeatedly told you that you can't apply the lifetime hack unless the drive is installed. The tivo then has to be connected to the pc via a bash cable. Once you get the bash prompt then you apply the hack.
You ordered and paid for the drive. You told me that you have Philips. I was up front in telling you that this drive came from a Sony SAT T60 and that it may not work in the Philips unless I reformatt it and reinstalled extreme. I also told you that i would need to find a copy of extreme for it. You sent me a email stating that you needed the hard drive by the weekend.
I've offered to help you even send you a copy of extreme that I burned yesterday.
I don't have a DSR6000 that I'm going to take apart so I can hack it for you. This why I told you that the drive was from a T60.
You got the drive for $50. I offered to send you the extreme cd and instructions for the lifetime hack. I told you everything you need is right here.
I'm done with this.

IT CAME FROM MY SONY SAT T60. YOU HAVE A PHILIPS DSR6000. THE LIFETIME AND HARD DRIVE WON'T WORK IN YOUR TIVO.
THE HARD DRIVE NEEDS TO BE LOADED WITH EXTREME FOR YOUR DSR6000. THEN THE TIVO NEEDS TO BE CONNECTED TO A PC IN ORDER TO APPLY THE LIFETIME SUB HACK. I CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT THE TIVO.
THIS IS WHY I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WILL NEED TO APPLY THE HACK YOURSELF.
PLEASE READ THE FORUMS ON APPLYING HACKS. I OFFERED TO SEND YOU THE EXTREME DISK OR TELL YOU WHERE TO DOWNLOAD IT FROM.

actually, thats not completely true. a sat-t60 image will work just fine on a dsr6000. the only issue you will run into is that it won't work with a sat-t60 remote. the software itself will work just fine.

please let him the only way to apply the lifetime hack is to have the tivo connected to a pc. Then you can apply it through the bash prompt.
HE DOESN'T BELEIVE THAT YOU NEED THE TIVO CONNECTED TO THE PC VIA A BASH CABLE.

I can't put a static IP on it. You have to be able to connect it to a network before you can do that. All the info you need is on dealdatabase.com forums. Once payment is I can instruct you on how to do it.
Send the payment to paypal zebrahead69@aol.com
hahahaa you said you needed to connect it to a network, that is obviously not true, and i called you on it. why are you still lying?

again, only partially true. if you load a drive with xtreme, and then let it finish its install process, you can pull the drive and place it in a PC. from there, a boot with a linux boot disk will allow you to activate the fixsub stuff. a bash cable will also work for this.
if he wants to do this without a pc on a completly unhacked tivo (ie: has never had the prom flashed via xtreme or a similar tool), then yes, he doesnt understand what he needs. easiest thing if he doesnt have a pc would be to use a pre-xtremed drive (that has never been in a tivo yet) and then use bash by connecting the tivo to a borrowed laptop.

you are not part of this conversation, and your opinion isn't either. this arguement is dead. He admitted he mislead me, and offered to take back the hard drive and put on it what we agreed was suppose to be on it. I don't trust him, to return it to me. So when it comes in the mail, i am keeping it and mostly likely formatting and throwing it in the pile of blank hard drives i have.
i tried to delete this thread but it won't let me.

I beg to differ. This is an open forum and everyone is free to interject into any discussion anytime they feel like it. I think you need to learn some basic forum eitquette, not to mention some manners, before telling someone what they can and cannot do here.
