Need help with file on tivo drive

Had a storm a few days ago. I beleive, from reading posts,
that it took out the modem on my hughes directv tivo. I have installed 252 xtreme and it hangs at "upgrading datbase"
So, with the drive hooked up to my pc and using the xtreme
boot cd, how do rename the modemtest as suggested in the posts.

mount the tivo drive root partition to mount point /mnt/td and rename it like this:
mv /mnt/td/tvbin/modemtest /mnt/td/tvbin/modemtest.renamed

Thanks, it evidently was the modem, cause' now it works.
