Remap Remote Buttons to Do Different things?

Excuse me if this is already posted somewhere else...I searched pretty extensively and wasn't able to find anything.

Is there a way to make the DTivo perform a different action when a button on the remote control is pressed?

Specifically, I never use the "Slow" motion button. I would like the command "echo "" | text2osd -transbg" executed when I push it.

Is this possible?
