xupgrade helppppppp

when I try to upgrade using xupgrade.iso I get the following error:

Installing files ...
cp: /mnt/tdv/hack/upgrd252.tcl: input output error

what am I doing wrong?

Looks like you're having a problem copying files to the hard drive. Maybe a bad hard drive?

could it be the jumpers on the drive

Did you get the problem solved? I am getting the same ERROR here and it's a brand new maxtor drive right out off the box. :confused:
