Dolby digital Lost After Xtreme 2.52 Upgrade

i've search and could not find a similar problem. Can anyone help me, for some reeason after i did the 2.52 upgrade i lost my dolby output. anythin i can do to resolve this.

Push tivo button on your remote, messages and setup, preferences, audio options, dolby digital, yes.

Strange thing, when I switched my Yamaha receiver from Dolby Digital to auto sensing the receiver thinks the movie is in Surround sound. If I find another DD show, and it works, I'll post results here.....

That's when i lost my dolby didigtal capabilities. Im at 252 when i was at 2.5 it worked ok.

Looks like it's only a problem w/PPV. DD movies on HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc. are okay for me. To test:
1. Set audio preference to Standard Audio
2. In Program Guide, find movie w/DD symbol. While watching movie, Display and "Down" arrow (under Select) to DD symbol to choose alternate DD track. Choose "English - Dolby Track". DD should kick in.

Dunno how to get PPV working again. Will post answer if I get it...

I have heard that DTV is no longer broadcasting ppv's in DD. They have had a bunch of problems syncing up the sound with the picture. The timing may just be coincidence.

Its not that i'm not able to get dd shows, my dd output does not work at all.

tvtyme - did you find out anything on the PPV. I just finally got my Tivo hooked up to my a/v equipment. I know the optical port is working or else I wouldn't be getting sound, since that is the only way it is hooked into the a/v rev. Turned 5.1 on and switched over to "2 Fast 2 Furious" and no audio. If I switch over to HBO or Starz it works.
Anyone have any clue on this one?

I have the same problem with the 2 fast 2 furious PPV, and I'm not running extreme.

I think it's just the DTV stream.

Well at one other person is having this problem, It suprises me that more people are not having this problem or someone has figured what causes this.
I don't have this problem with a regular receiver its only with the Tivo. 2 Fast 2 Furious comes in DD 5.1 with no problems.

Can't someone help out here?

directv sometimes screws up the audio on the ppv chans. so, if you get DD on starz, then your tivo is fine, its just that the particular showing is screwed up.
