I processed the Ty file using GOP Editor and was able to produce a .CUT file to edited out my commercials.

At this point how do I process the .Cut file against the .Ty files to get the commercials out ?

Gop Editor does not show any other option available to process it.

I amd supposed to end up with files that are split up and to be rejoined later.

Thank you.

if the cut file same name as ty file, same directory, you can use tytool7r3 and select file multiplex or vob-mux, select the ty and the program will check for the cut file and the resulting mpg/vob will not have the information you cut.

if you use vsplit3 in command line you run it like this:

vsplit3 -m (or -b) -c myshow.cut myshow.ty myshow myshow

and you will end with myshow.mpg (if -m) or myshow.vob (if -b).

Before you multiplex or VOB-mux the file you have to edit the keyfile to implement your cut points. Otherwise, you'll process the ty file without any edits being performed.

does one have to do the key process again, after you input the cuts?

Nope. Here's the sequence for crating either a muxed file or set of VOBs:

Extract program in TyStream mode
Create keyfile
Open keyfile in GopEditor
Set cut points in GopEditor and save cut list
Edit cut list in TyTool
For mpeg files to be used in a separate DVD authoring program, select Mux Files option from the menu
For DVD creation in TyTool, select VOB-Mux option followed by Create IFOs to create your menu and set chapter stops.
