Announcment: TyTool 7r4 is out...

This announcement is here for those that are SA tivo users and perhaps not following the long TyTool thread to date.

Transcoding within my tools is at long last here for the SA Tivo people in general and for everyone that wanted to go to SVCD. It is now possible to do it all and get output for SVCD or DVD from an SA Tivo source TyStream.

The full release archive is found near the bottom of the TyTool sticky thread. It contains everything needed as well as some detailed docs on it's use.

Please read the release notes carefully and the new Audio Transcoding docs.

In the docs you state that the "Vob-Mux Files" option is necessary to create DVD output directly. When I run TyTool 7r4, that option is greyed out. Is there something else I need to set to enable that function?

Pardon me if this is a stupid question, I'm pretty new to the video extraction stuff, and all the new concepts are a bit overwhelming! :)

Don't Look in the options menu. Look for that in the file menu. Some things are in flux and that is one of them.

Again look for that in the main file menu.

Also if you read the docs for making DVDs within the archive there is a very detailed explanation.

OK, I see it. Of course, now something got hosed in my system, and Media Player plays all the MPG movies tall and skinny, so I think a codec got changed or something. Never a dull moment here! :D Funny, PowerDVD plays them fine...

jdiner-nice work! I havent played with this yet, I havent been reading this forum for what seems to be only a week. Last I looked you were up to 7r3. Wow....
