This thread is for all people that want to use DVDlab and TyTool.

Don't use DVDlab 1.2.1 beta, this is what Oscar said about it:
The library on 1.2.1 beta has been changed and it is flawed with some serious bugs. Of course we are working on this + other compatibility issues and I will not make any more features untill this is fixed to the sattisfaction.

the 1.2.1 beta is to see and test the new features, but the compile istself isn't kosher. if the library fixing will take too long I will make a 1.2.05 -beta with the old library. (from Oscar, 6/27/2003)

TYTool > DVDLab workflow

Would you mind posting a workflow with the new version out now? I would be interested in trying that out!

It's very simple...

1) Use TYTool 7r6 to download the mpg files using TYTools "multiplex mode".

2) I then use DVDLab upgraded to 1.2.1 beta to create the CD using this quick start guide.

3) I then use the flexible multiplexer option from within DVDLab to create my DVD-Rs.

Flexible muxer was first released in DVDlab 1.2, so maybe with that version you will be able to get good results without the bugs in 1.2.1. I'm sure you can't use version 1.1, so Toddler you need to upgrade to 1.2

You can download it here (http://www.mediachance.com/files/dvdlabup12.exe)

I guess Oscar will release a new update soon. Check the history (http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/history.html) page for any new update.

bato,

Just curious if you've tried the 1.2.2 BETA. I'm looking to play around tonight and I think I will stick with 1.2 if nobody has run 1.2.2 through the paces yet.

Thanks

You are right, you can use 1.1, use the VOBs created after DVDAuthor process because those have pci and dsi stream information that DVDlab needs. The VOB-mux files from TyTool (before creating IFO files/dirs) do not have that information.

You also may need to fix the time code if you want to have working chapters in DVDlab.

Generiq: I just download it and try it this weekend.
