Hey -
I have a series 1 Tivo that I upgraded to a dual drive 80 hour system almost two years ago. Now I am going to add a TurboNet card to get ethernet access to the unit for two reasons - no phone connection, and video extraction.
I really am sorry to ask this question, as I am sure you have heard it a million times - but is there a good newbie guide to video extraction on a standalone unit? I don't want to have to reformat the Tivo or anything - I'm hoping this can be done on the PC side of things, or do I have to pop out the drives and mess with linux again (not my area of expertise)? I have shows archived that I want to put on DVD (the whole reason for this experiement), so I don't want to have to erase!
