I did a search on this window based program with very limited results.
Has anyone used this? If your main objective was to extract video and burn to a dvd, is this a viable option? Are there any major differences in quality extracting this way versus from a Dtivo and network card?
It seems with the prices of Dtivos if your main objective was to extract, this would be cheaper.

that looks like it's to use your computer as a pvr. all you really want is a dvr(only need to record manual). you would get better quality with a network card and tystudio/tytool.

This uses the analog output from a video source and then encodes it for use on the computer. Anytime you decode/reencode, you lose quality.

It would probably be equivalent to using a SA Tivo.
