What programs are people are using to catalog their audio-visual collections.
I am looking for a generic catalog program that can handle DVDs, MP3 ids, create thumbnails of graphics and produce a reasonably sized catalog.
I have tried several programs but they all create huge databases.
Thanks.

a program like that would be great. I have over 2TB of Tivo files spreading in 3 computers with two 600GB-800GB RAIDs and 20+ Firewire and USB drives. What a mess.
Okay, Wes... I think this question just has to be asked.
What are you archiving that requires over a terrabyte of storage?
I've got full seasons of SEVERAL of my favorite shows here and I haven't passed 200 gig (although some of the stuff is stored in DivX or XviD format to conserve space).

All of mine are in .ty format and they are mostly over 1GB each. 5 season of 20 eps is easily 100G. Just think how many TV series you would want to keep if space is not a problem. :)
Not to mention some of them have been converted to SVCD format for sharing with other people. SVCD format are mostly 700-800MB each. That easily double the space that you need to keep each eps.
Best program I ever found after doing some research trying to manage my 1100+ off the shelf DVDs collection spread over an equally large number of DVD shelfs and stands was MovieBrain:

Shame that support seem to have disappear about over a year ago, but the program still works just I wouldnt hold my breath for updates. I believe the demo version only limitation is one database rather than multiples, and be wary of apying for the full version as like I said there seems to be no ongoing support.
Hope this helps.

I use a program called WhereIsIt (http://www.whereisit-soft.com/) and it rules.
I use it for cataloging CDs but it will probably fit your needs as well.
