no dialout hack?

I have a virgin HDR2. We want to go 'wireless' at home, since we both (me and my wife) have cells, and we get free long distance with them. The land-line is just another $40 bill that doesn't get used anyway.

Is there a way to stop the directv tivo from dialing out? Is there some features I'll be missing if I do? (I don't care for or want to use ppv.)

Why bother having Tivo with no NHL Center Ice or Sunday ticket.
Can not get those without the phoneline.
