Do to a faulty D-link router/firewall, I currently have 2 network cards in my computer... One is running directly from the cable modem with Windows XP firewall (24.x.x.x) and the other is on my internal network (192.168.0.x).

When I attempt to use tytool to download a file, tserver_mfs6 tries to send it to the 24.x.x.x card. I get the "Now Playing" list just fine. I remember seeing someplace how to solve this problem, but for the life of me I can't find it.

HELP..

Thanks

i hope i'm remembering correctly....

disable the 24.x.x.x nic card while your extracting.

right click "network neighborhood", "my network" or whatever the network icon is named on the xp desktop.

click "properties"

right click the nic card that's assigned the 24.x.x.x address.

click "disable"

extract ty's. :D

when your done, repeat steps and click "enable" to restore access to the 24.x.x.x card.

hope that helps.

There is also a NIC order that things are processed at.

You can go into Network Properties.

In the menu bar, Advanced

And there is in there, the order that the NICs are used for the job that is at hand.

Try putting your inhouse network nic first by moving it to the top of the list.

This works for W2k
