1. Does the HDVR2 get the channel lineups through satellite or telephone/ethernet?

2. If the answer to #1 is telephone/ethernet, what happens if it dials out and doesn't have my Subscription ID? (I used a brand new hard drive with a Image I found off the net.)

all dtivos get their subscription info from the satellite
