I have previously upgraded my Series 2 TCD240040 from a single 40 gig to a single 120 gig a few months ago. I soon grew more addicted to Tivo (more specifically BEST Recording option) and decided that i needed more space. After purchasing another 120 and a TwinBreeze from Weaknees as well as the powertrip for my 2nd drive, I then proceeded to follow the instructions for the following step of the Hindsdale guide:
UPGRADE CONFIGURATION #1:
From: Any Single Drive TiVo
To: Adding a New B Drive
This is the only step i followed (and i believe it is the only one that needed to be followed as I am only adding another drive to an existing 1 drive setup, If i needed to do something else please advise) I hooked up the Original Tivo 120 (previously upgraded) as the Secondary Master and the new one as the Primary Slave and then typed:
mfsadd -x /dev/hdc /dev/hdb
It reported back the capcity and the upgraded capacity correctly. I unhooked put back in tivo, hooked it up according the the Weaknees guide making sure that the A drive was set to Master and the B was set to Slave. I booted up and can't get past the "Welcome, Powering up..." screen. I got frustrated and decided to watch some seinfeld that i had on my Tivo already and unhooked the new drive and had only my A drive connected. So according to the Tivo it just thinks it is back to normal (or so i thought) I now cannot get past the "Welcome, Powering Up..." on the original setup. Please tell me what is wrong as i'm dying here thinking i may have busted both drives
