I have been using the following method to remove commercials from my DTivo extractions up to this point:
Extract with Tytools in V-split
Import m2v and m2a into SpruceUp
Set up chapters around commercials
Compile in SpruceUp
Rip the VOB in Smartripper less the chapters containing commercials
Enjoy my new commercial free m2v
Tonight I'm trying out editing with Tytool 7r7a using Just4Fun's handy guide for Tytool 7r6 and here's what I've done:
Extract with Tytools in ty
Created cut files and saved it
Used GOP editor to remove commercials
These steps all worked flawlessly. The problem I encounter is at the next step to select:
VOB-mux file(s)
When I try to run this step Tytool crashes/closes and gives me a VOB file with 0 bytes. If I select:
Process Single File
I receive numerous m2v and m2a files corresponding to the number of "cuts" I made with the GOP editor. I guess I could patch these multiple m2vs together using Tmpeg to get a single resulting m2v of the show commercial free, but I think the step for "VOB-mux file(s)" is supposed to create a single commercial free VOB for the show.
I'm sure I'm screwing something up as this program works perfect up to this point. What am I missing?
