Why did my /var/hacks directory go away?

My /var/hacks dir went away but I still have FTP access... Was it something I did? Or can Tivo wipe it out?

Tivo can indeed wipe it out if your Hard Drive starts to run out of room

- How do you tell in a DTiVo how much recording time you have left? (Is there a UTV-style "percent full" feature?)

- When is a good point to start erasing recordings in order to avoid losing /var/hack? (That is, 80%? 90%?, etc.)

1) Tivoweb

2) You need to clean up logs (not recordings) if you are not making the daily call. Search for info on this, or better yet, find a better place than /var to put your hacks (see embeem's post on on the subject at alt.org).
