i am trying to mount my tivo drive to my pc to install airnet
i am using 1 120 gig for my tivo

i have cd rom on primarty master
i have tivo 120 gig hdd on primary slave

when i type mount /dev/hdb /mnt/tivo

its asking me to specify filesystem type

i am booting with xtreme 2.5 cd
and when
boot:
comes up i hit enter, and login as root

i mount /dev/fd0 floppy
then nic_install airnet
and it says
error finding path, which i assume means it cant find the tivo drive

thanks

I'm no Linux expert but why would you mount your floppy drive if you're installing from a boot CD? Make sure you've got the jumpers on your Tivo drive set to match the configuration you've set up in your PC. If you've installed the tivo drive as a slave then make sure the jumpers are set accordingly. I'm also unsure as to why you're mounting your Tivo drive at all if you're installing from a boot CD. Go back and review the installation instructions posted at the silicondust website. You can get to it from the 9th Tee site if you don't have a direct link.
