I deleted everything on the Harddrive through the menu setup, now my dsr6000 wont sucessfully make a call to allow me to use tivo srvice. I put in the no phone #21,1 in to the call waiting prefix still no go. I get failed in the dialing. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

If you activate the nophone option then the Tivo can't dial out (hence the name) and you will always get a failure indication even if you try to force a call. Try turning off the nophone option (#21,0) and reboot. You should be able to dial out then. Just keep in mind that if you let your DTivo dial out and it downloads a software upgrade, all your hacks will disappear.

BTW, doing a Clear & Delete Everything (I assume this is what you were referring to) doesn't remove any of the software you installed. It does, however, delete any recordings, settings, preferences, To Do List, and guide data info from the DTivo. I'm pretty sure it also wipes your recording history and any logs.

Does the tivo need to be connected to an actual phone line to dial out and get that software which erases the hacks?

It is saying that my tivo has not made a succesful call in 30 days. How do i get it to make a successful call without a pone line?

Ferdo:

Slow down.

You posted three times in this thread and started another.

I will delete your other thread, but you must be patient. Ask in a single thread or forum and wait for an answer.

I had a similiar problem. I could not get the #21,1 option to work from the dial option screen. I had to go to the bash prompt then Type xp <cr> #21,1 <cr>. You don't need a phone line connected. Once it works it should say a successful call has been made.
